Community Place Cafés
- Walter David and Marion Prediger Café, located within First United Methodist
Church in Hyattsville, serves homeless and at-risk individuals and families over 19,200 hot, nutritious lunches each year.
Patricia Brown Sharing Fund
- Seeks donations and other funds that are provided to help needy families pay rent and vital utilities to avoid becoming homeless through eviction.
We Do Care
- In collaboration with the Capital Area Food Bank, each month we distribute over 24,000 lbs of fresh produce, bread, and other food to over 375 Prince George's Families in need including a special distribution for seniors over 55.
- We distribute holiday food baskets and gifts to families with children, seniors,
and others in need.
House of David~Sponsored by David and Joan Prediger
- This house is the primary site for our Transitional Housing Program.
Serves as Site for Prayer Chapel, Ministry Food Storage, and Alternate CMPGC Headquarters.

Step Up Ministry
- Provides transitional housing and life skills development through partnerships with caring congregations and other organizations.
- Several graduated families now independently lease their own housing.
Answer and Benefit Center
- Provides referrals and web based information and listing of congregation and non-profit services available across the county to help those in need.
- Congregations and other organizations are invited to list their community outreach services on the Community Ministry website which receives over 5,000 visits per month. Send request to jslade@cmpgc.com.
Health Education & Services
- Seek to address health care disparity.
